Beauty and the beast is a traditional fairy tale. International. Universal. It has become an archetype expressing the difficulty of handling the instintual and wild side in our psyche. The first published version was by the French Gabrielle-Suzanne Velleneuve Barbot in the 1740. Before this, in Greek mythology, we find the myth of Hades and Persephone, Aphrodite and Hephaestus, in Sumerian myth we have Innana and Ereshkigal, among the most evocative of the same theme.
In astrology, the Planet Pluto is who confront us with the beast, although others can play the same role. In this talk we will discuss Pluto and the encounter with this archetype, according to the position and aspects in our birthchart.
We will see examples of personal planets with Pluto and its meaning in the way we relate to others and we’ll discuss the birth chars of S.Freud, C. Jung, Strauss-Kahn, Michael Fassbender the actor in the film “Shame”, and that of Joseph Fritzl and of course, the charts of those present in the talk wish to share it with the group.
