Today at 1:49 am Barcelona time, Mars has entered the sign of Capricorn, where it is exalted. Mars works well from this sign and this is quite a powerful entry since it does so with Mercury and Pluto also in the early degrees of Capricorn. The Lunar Node is also very near Pluto and Mercury. This is an aspect that impulses us towards professional achievement and the responsibility of it. If we are involved in any kind of project, this is one that we really want to succeed.
The fact that Mercury is on the verge of stationing retrograde on the 10th, should give us plenty of time, to see all details of it, so that we don’t neglect any aspect of what we are doing. Still, this is a period of time where we must keep it real, with absolute awareness of our and its limitations.
Mars is departing from the fire sign of Sagittarius, where it was since October 28th, which pushed us to go beyond the borders of our neighborhood, and/or city, to venture into other countries, or other areas, even other cultures, in short, travel. Mentally or physically, but without worrying too much about the consequences of our actions. Now is moved into the sign of the zodiac most concerned with CONTROL of our enthusiasm and energies to agree with our most acute reality. Probably less fun that its passage through Sag, but immensely more productive. So a real treat if you have some Capricorn yourself and are a workaholic! These are times when: “Less is more” and “Move slow if you are in a hurry” make sense.
Capricorn is a specialist in taking the right steps, even if that means very few of them at a given time. The goal is to get to the top, and this sign knows how to wait for the right moment to step up!
By the 13th Mars encounters Mercury and Pluto almost exactly, so we should see what happens to Julian Assange, the founder of Wikileaks. No doubts more documents will be published and the consequences could be very serious indeed, especially when there are soldiers involved in the leaking of information. On the 14th, the Moon aspects this planetary triple conjunction by square from Aries. These are trying times for many people. We must be aware of our power struggles, especially those unconscious ones. Time for bringing into our conscience our need for power and the control of others. Time to become aware of our powerlessness as well. Time to come to terms with decisions we may have taken in the past which now brings us into powerlessness some with institutions like insurance and mortgage companies. This is a financial situation and more Institutions will be exposed!
The Mercury retrograde will bring some delays in paper work, important meetings and financial benefits. Make sure you look after your cell phone, you know by now what happens to them when Mercury goes retrograde. Yet our determination will surprise each and everyone of us, especially if you are a cardinal sign (Aries, Cancer, Libra and Capricorn)
Mercury will station retrograde around the 30th of December and on the 29th Mars will square Saturn, now this is really never a very happy contact. Frustration will ensue and we will have to bow to our limitations and that of the law more than ever. So, think before you drink and drive, because this aspect will make sure you control even if you don’t do it yourself. Authorities will do it for ya. So be warned!
Mars will be in Capricorn until the 15th of January 2011, when it will move to Aquarius, 2 days before Mercury goes back to the 5º of Capricorn where it first started the retrograde and encounters Pluto again.
Virgo and Taurus are in for real good time, full of energy and with many welcome situations. Beware of the extra charge of energy that Mars brings for these two Earth signs and also for the Cardinal signs. The last ones should really keep tap of their temper.
